Screening of dry or moist materials
Rotation or vibration. Letting centrifugal force do the work
There are various screening principles. The choice of screener type depends on the requirement to be met

Fractionating screen / Tumbler screener
A tumbler screener operates by applying a rotating 3-dimensional motion to separate particles based on size. This type of screener is designed to handle fine and ultra-fine materials by combining horizontal, vertical, and tangential motion. This motion creates a three-dimensional screening action that efficiently classifies materials and removes lumps, dust, or oversized particles. Tumbler screeners are widely used in industries such as food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, where precision and efficiency are critical. Their design ensures gentle material handling, reducing the risk of degradation of fragile products. Tumbler screeners offer exceptional screening quality, allowing residence time to be optimized for each product and capacity requirement.
A screen for fractionating is also known as a tumbler screener. It is a type of screener used for fractionating materials, i.e. dividing a material into different particle sizes. It is characterized by the fact that, instead of merely vibrating, the screen also moves in a rotating/tumbling motion. In this way, the material is continuously turned and distributed across the screen.
Check screener / Vibrating screener
A vibrating screener type is an advanced screening machine designed for both dry and wet products. It is used where check screening is required before a raw material enters the process—for example, directly upstream of a powder mixer or just before the finished product is packed into bags or big bags.
The screener operates via vibration, which loosens the material and prevents blinding. This provides fast and efficient material separation
Vibrating tumbler screener
Used for both dry and wet products in applications requiring the separation, sorting, and classification of materials based on size. The screeners are driven by a direct flange-mounted unbalance motor, positioned centrally beneath the machine body. Thanks to the spring suspension, the screens can move freely in three dimensions.
Centrifugal screener
A centrifugal screener is characterized by its use of centrifugal force to separate materials.
The screener features a rotating drum or rotor fitted with a screen mesh. Material is fed into the center of the screener to a screen basket via a feed screw. From the screen basket, the material is propelled outward against the screen mesh. As the material is driven against the mesh, the fine particles are forced through it, effectively letting centrifugal force perform the separation. Coarser particles remain and are conveyed to a discharge outlet.
This screening principle is particularly effective for fine, dry materials and is commonly used for flour, food products, powders, granules, chemical products, and plastic granulate. Centrifugal screeners can handle high throughputs, delivering fast and efficient separation. The screener is typically constructed as an enclosed system to minimize dust and product loss.
Ultrasonic screen mesh de-blinding
The system utilizes an ultrasonic converter connected to an ultrasonic generator to produce ultrasonic waves. These waves are transmitted through an ultrasonic transmission ring attached to the mesh. The ultrasonic waves are distributed evenly across the entire mesh, reducing friction between the product being screened and the mesh. By minimizing friction, the ultrasonic system prevents material from adhering and enables an improved material flow through the mesh. This results in enhanced screening performance, particularly for fine particles prone to agglomeration or blinding.
The unique ultrasonic generator provides precise control over the ultrasonic waves, enabling customization of amplitudes and frequency bands tailored to specific screening tasks.
The patented design prevents resonance that could lead to “hot spots” and increased wear on the screen mesh. This contributes to extending the service life of the screen mesh.
FAQ
Tumbler screener
A screen for fractionating is also known as a tumbler screener. It is a type of screener used for fractionating materials, i.e. dividing a material into different particle sizes. It is characterized by the fact that, instead of merely vibrating, the screen also moves in a rotating/tumbling motion. In this way, the material is continuously turned and distributed across the screen.
Centrifugal screener
A centrifugal screener separates materials using rotation and centrifugal force, making it well-suited for fast and efficient classification of fine, dry particles.
Vibrating screener
A vibrating screener utilizes mechanical vibrations to separate, classify, or filter materials based on their particle size. The product is distributed across a vibrating surface (typically a mesh or perforated plate), where undersized particles fall through while oversized particles are conveyed forward or discharged.
